Trane Technologies has an exciting new opportunity to join our organization as the Global Equipment Sales Leader for our Life Science Solutions business! This role will be highly visible with exposure to the Life Sciences corporate leadership team, and executive decision-makers within our customer base for Life Sciences. The Global Equipment Sales Leader is responsible developing our next generation of sales leaders by leading the field and inside sales teams to exceed the sales plan for Helmer and FARRAR products inclusive of driving synergy across custom contracts and services businesses. This is an influential leadership position that reports to the Life Science Solutions Equipment sales and Strategy Accounts Center of Excellence Leader and is responsible for meeting annual and quarterly revenue and gross margin results.

The successful candidate will be respected among high level decision makers in our industry as a “trusted advisor” and will have the ability to communicate a crisp vision of what Trane technologies brings to the Life Sciences space.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as Remote and work will be performed globally. Candidates need to reside near a major airport.

What you will do:

This is a position that requires proven leadership in commercial excellence, executive presence and business acumen, customer focus, negotiations skills, conflict management and strong communication skills. This position is accountable for growing the Life Science Solutions equipment business in Biosciences (including but not limited to Biopharma, Biotech, CDMO’s, CMO’s, CRO’s, Biorepositories) and Healthcare (Clinical IHN’s, Blood Bank, Pharmacy’s, Academic/University) segments by fostering long-term relationships with new and existing channel partners, strategic accounts and key stakeholders developing strong collaborative sales teams and building sales processes rigor and strategies to accelerate profitable growth.

What you will bring:

+ Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or graduate degree preferred in the Life Sciences, Biosciences, Engineering, science, or business field preferred.

+ A minimum of 10+ years combined sales, business development and leadership experience with strong sales process and CRM funnel management coaching expertise.

+ Must be a proven results-oriented self-starter and connector successful at maintaining high-level business relationships that produce high growth results-oriented teams in a matrixed environment driving synergy

+ Existing network and sales leadership success in Bioscience and Healthcare segments with proven ability to coach and mentor a diverse sales team to quickly expand customer base through multi-channel go to market approach (Direct, Distribution, Dealer, Engineering Firms, GPO’s, Government, etc.) inclusive of a diverse portfolio of equipment ranging from commodity to custom capital cold storage equipment solutions.

+ Foundational financial acumen highly recommended. Previous experience with developing and managing departmental budgets, annual product forecast, and price structure. Capable of making investment analysis and decisions based on ROI/DCF criteria.

Change Management & Adaptability: Demonstrates flexibility in leadership style and approach being open to change and new information; adapts behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles. Detail oriented and acts with urgency.

Financial Accumen: Leads team leveraging analytical acumen and data intelligence to accurately assess and adjust sales priorities, compensation considerations, and levers to clearly articulate strategic direction for sales teams to achieve quarterly goals.

Compensation:

Total Target Compensation: $250,000 – $310,000 inclusive of base salary and incentive.

Total Target Cash represents a mix of fixed base salary plus payment from sales commissions. Sales commissions plans are uncapped plans.
