BASIC FUNCTION

The Technical Enablement Specialist (TES) empowers Solution Architects to more easily do better work and increase their potential. The role involves the strategic use of technology and digital solutions to empower our business to improve results, boost productivity, and solve problems. The TES ensures SAs can harness the full potential of our products by educating on the entirety of our feature set and make sure they understand our platform and how it drives results. The TES ensures SAs are able to access the tools, resources and training needed to become product experts and help improve adoption, utilization, and engagement.

The TES is also responsible to assist the SAs in analyzing and evaluating customers’ critical business issues to deliver strategically tailored product demonstrations and consult on overall sales and product strategies. The TES will be required to actively maintain, develop and expand their knowledge of CCH Tax & Accounting products and stay current on basic accounting practices, technical landscape of, advances in and the competitive landscape of the accounting industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain systems, software and data that enable engaging product demonstrations to varied audiences

- Maintain in-depth knowledge of CCH core and ancillary products as applicable by role

- Develop tools and methodologies to assist in the updating and keeping current all CCH software solutions for all SAs

- Collaborate with Product, Development, Deployment and other teams to stay current on CCH products and coming enhancements, releases and statuses to enable the SAs to more easily and better do their job

- Identify opportunities to educate on CCH solutions

- Utilize sales skills and techniques to best position CCH technical products in sales and competitive situations

- Develop and maintain close relationships with customers, prospects, peers and internal resources including: product management, product training, learning and enablement and marketing

- Update and input all sales information and activities diligently in Salesforce.com to contribute to accurate reports,

forecasts, pipelines, market trend analyses, and business cases

- Provide deep technical knowledge to SAs and Sales in support of the sales process

- Respond efficiently to technical product information requests related to software environments, system requirements,

integration capabilities, backend data structures, databases and reporting

- Achieve specific team sales goals and metrics as defined by Sales and Solution Design Leadership

- Participate in internal meetings, sales calls, industry conferences and trade shows as required

- Partner with and build relationships with CCH customer accounts

- Team with all levels of customer personnel and provide education on process improvement using CCH solutions

- Assist in the preparation of responses for requests for proposals, pricing, and application information

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Finance, Accounting or related field

or 5+ years of work experience in a Related Field

Required Experience:

- Previous experience in Software Product Pre-sales/Development

- Knowledge of development principles, APIs, cloud technology and deployment, and basic programming languages

- Ability to communicate and demonstrate technology components to a broad audience

- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook and PowerPoint

- Solid written and verbal communication abilities

- Experience with technical solutions and deep understanding of technology

- Good presentation skills

Preferred Experience:

-Experience with or in an Accounting setting

-Experience and proficiency with CCH Software Products

- Experience successfully leading training engagements

- Professional, organized, reliable, driven and results-oriented

- Motivated self-starter who is detail-oriented and able to work independently

- Must be enthusiastic, independent, self-motivated, goal-oriented, highly interactive

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Minimal domestic, overnight travel required

Expected travel – 10% – 25%

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Ability to travel independently and overnight

- Ability to travel by air

- Ability to obtain a credit card

- Ability to work independently in a home office environment

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $93,400-$130,600
