Job Description

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager in ELMHURST, Illinois. This role is primarily centered on managing and keeping up with job functions in a very hands-on capacity. The individual will be responsible for overseeing a one-person collections team, setting credit limits, and handling collections efforts through both phone and email. As a team-oriented role, the candidate will be expected to work well with various departments, including sales, client success, and accounting.

Responsibilities:

- Managing daily operations and tasks, not necessarily managing people.

- Setting credit limits for varying sizes of companies.

- Handling collections efforts via phone and email.

- Applying ACH payments as they come in.

- Building and maintaining solid relationships with customers.

- Setting up new clients in the system and handling W9 work.

- Working on month-end tasks like putting together aging reports and alerting higher-ups to collections issues that would affect month-end.

- Occasionally reconciling work.

- Implementing specialized billing for larger customers.

- Working with Oracle NetSuite and XL for consolidated billing and report generation.

- Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues that arise.

- Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

- Maintaining accurate customer credit records. Requirements – Candidate must possess expert knowledge in B2B collections

- Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is essential

- Must have a strong understanding of Accounting Functions

- Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

- Candidate must be able to handle Billing Functions effectively

- Must be capable of managing Cash Activity

- Experience with Cash Applications is a prerequisite

- Proficiency in NetSuite is necessary

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

- Candidate must have superior organizational skills and attention to detail

- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Proven leadership and supervisory skills are necessary

- Candidate should possess strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

- Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting is a plus.
