Job Description
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in the manufacturing industry, based in WEST CHICAGO, Illinois. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes, maintaining financial records, and working with other departments to resolve any discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process invoices with a high level of accuracy
- Utilize accounting software systems to maintain precise financial records
- Collaborate with other departments to rectify billing discrepancies
- Ensure timely payments by monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action
- Maintain accounts receivable records and perform regular audits
- Utilize computerized billing systems to streamline processes
- Regularly update billing functions and procedures
- Code invoices accurately to ensure proper billing
- Utilize billing software to automate and enhance the billing process
- Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail to ensure accurate billing processes. Requirements – Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems
- Familiarity with Computerized Billing
- Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience in Billing Functions
- Ability to Code Invoices
- Knowledge of Billing software
- Experience in the manufacturing industry
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Excellent customer service skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
