Job Description

The Assistant, HR Technology & Compliance serves as an administrative partner to Talent teams within the business and is responsible for supporting compliance practices and efficiencies for our hiring processes. You will report into the Vice President, HR Technology & Compliance.

The Assistant, HR Technology & Compliance is detailed, and is interested in learning more about US (both national and local) laws associated with background checks and I9s, and general HR Employment law. The assistant has familiarity with Excel reporting and ability to quickly compare multiple reports from varied systems. This role is ideal for a process-oriented individual that is able to manage a high volume of requests and projects without sacrificing quality.

The ideal candidate will understand the development and implementation of various human resources policies, processes & software which drive our business to ensure a compliant workforce.

Responsibilities

+ Supporting the onboarding of new hires within a center of excellence tasked as the single point of origination to initiate and support HR with the initiation of background checks through our company vendor

+ Supporting the onboarding process by initiating section 1 of the Form I-9 for new hires through our company vendor

+ Triaging and learning to answer topical compliance questions on background check and I9 processes, troubleshooting the vendor system, and supporting the larger compliance team by answering general questions directed to our departmental mailbox

+ Supporting the rollout of new initiatives to streamline HR practices including digitization of personnel files, serving as a triage point for HR business partners

+ Supporting the development of various efficiencies

+ Researching terms and conditions outlined in client Master Service Agreements, and working with the Manager of HR Compliance to track and meet discovered contractual obligations

Qualifications

+ 0-3 years’ experience in HR Administrative practices

+ Competent working with Microsoft Excel and other similar software reporting

+ Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills that convey clear and concise information with a high level of confidentiality for an HR audience

Compensation Range: $35,000-52,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
