Job Description

Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. Responsibilities As a TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST at the GS-2101-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the USTRANSCOM single point of contact for the CJCS Joint Training System, the command’s collective joint training program and represents the Commander; USTRANSCOM, at Joint Staff training forums. Manages the input, processes, and outputs of all phases of the USTRANSCOM Joint Training Program to improve readiness Develops, coordinates, and implements joint training policy and procedures Evaluates program performance and devises methods for improving joint training Regularly briefs senior leaders on status of programs and frequently coordinates with directorate representatives on Joint Training Program processes Manages the administration of the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Managing all phases of a Training Program (Requirements, Plans, Execution, and Assessments) Developing Training Plans, Guidance, and objectives Evaluating performance and effectiveness of training events, identifying training shortfalls, and determining the impact on mission capability Managing the administration of a system of record for training program Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
