Job Description

The primary focus of the role is to be responsible for the development and support of the migration tooling used as part of the RLDatix’s Workforce Management platform OneView.

Role Summary

The Technical Consultant is a key role in the Services Team. This role will be responsible for the technical work on a wide range of project types, including the development and its implementation of custom software in support of RLDatix products.

The right candidate will be encouraged to master new technologies, software and methodologies to best serve the requirements of the Customer.

Responsibilities

  • Build and delivery of custom solutions that provide integration and data flows, data migrations, reporting enhancements, and/or other specialised functions as part of a defined project
  • Continuous learning of new technologies, software and methodologies to best serve the requirements of the Client
  • Provide technical support for interfacing requirements with external systems ensuring the software performs effectively and escalating problems when required
  • Provide technical support to the wider team implementations
  • Gather, analyse and detail Customer requirements and help produce specification and proposals based on them
  • Accurately estimate effort and help produce quotes for new business
  • Report progress on technical activities to management, maintain and update technical installation details, project checkpoints and support log issues as required
  • Produce both verbal and written reports on activities at agreed intervals, and whenever substantive actions are required
  • Manage and resolve problems and issues which arise, maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Appropriately communicating technical environment issues and supporting the Customer in resolving any issues related to the technical provision of the software
  • Develop and maintain productive collaborative working relationships with other members of the team

Skills/Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Demonstrate effective communication, both orally and in writing, with colleagues including producing/reviewing technical documentation, preparing, organising, and delivering presentations using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency and confidence in the full lifecycle of software development for small and medium-scale projects
  • Experience of data migration and transformation
  • Relevant experience of SQL Server programming skills (Transact-SQL) and experience in administration and SQL development
  • Experience of administration of Microsoft Windows server platforms including the implementing application software and configuration of IIS and web services
  • Experience of Cloud
