Job Description
Title: Chief Operator - Initiating Explosives- Hourly
Location:East Alton, IL
Salary: $31.56/hour
Schedule: Straight Day Shift (S/1).

Chief Operator - Initiating Explosives Essential Job Functions:
Mixes dry and liquid additives together through several processes to make different types of explosives and solutions.
Uses 4-wheel cart to transport material.
Includes exposure to wet, humid, and extreme temperatures.
Adheres to all safety requirements including lockout/tagout and wearing required PPE such as full-face respirator and acid suit, as needed.
Chief Operator - Initiating Explosives Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Related chemical experience.
Advanced mathematical, basic computer knowledge, communication, and organizational skills.
Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
Must have flexibility to work other shifts, weekends, and forced overtime.
Location-Specific Requirements:
This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
