Job Summary:
The Category Manager -Logistic will be managing a spend of ~$60M annually and will support a network-wide logistics operations, services and strategy. This will include managing logistics sourcing, procurement execution, carrier onboarding, budgeting activities, and benchmarking projects. He/she will ensure that the services procured for our network will deliver the highest levels of reliability, speed, and cost while ensuring financial structures remain best in class.
The candidate must be a thought leader and Subject Matter Expert who will be tasked support Trivium's global logistic strategy. He/she will also organize and coordinate the logistical day-to-day activities and may include supply and support operations, inventory control, equipment management, receiving and warehouse operations.


Job Duties:
Develop category profiles with spend analytics, market information, benchmarking intel and supplier dynamics
Work with business and functional stakeholders to understand business needs/constraints, develop specifications and identify procurement related value creation opportunities
Use category profiles and leverage points to develop sourcing strategy
Conduct sourcing events including contract re-negotiations, RFP's, reverse auctions to unlock value for the business
Manage contracting process including negotiation of Master Agreements (MSA), Supplier Agreements, Scopes of Work (SOW), Change Orders (CO), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and Service Level Agreements (SLA) that meet business needs
Facilitate resolution of service, quality, and other supplier related issue/claims
Develops new practices, processes, metrics, or models
Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope
Substantial experience interfacing with multiple vendors to process critical customer transport, excellent computer (proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access) and office management skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, strong analytical skills, a team-work oriented approach to responsibilities and a consistently excellent attendance record
All other duties/projects as assigned

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Applicants should have 5+ years of logistics and asset and procurement experience
Excellent verbal & written communications skills and organization skills are required.
Bachelor's degree in related field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in sourcing and managing logistic services
Relevant experience in a company with a mature procurement function
Expert knowledge in end-to-end Strategic sourcing and contract negotiations
Experience in market and benchmark analysis at a broad level
Experience in manufacturing, or metal packaging preferred
Mastery in forecasting, benchmarking, developing & implementing sourcing strategies, performing RFx events, conducting negotiations and contracting
Proven record of achieving annual cost reduction savings and working productively in a fast-paced environment
