position summary
The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnership & Events is responsible for creating 'experiences' which build and sustain relationships with target audiences, demonstrates service capabilities which illustrates the Sirva brand. This senior-level position is develops event marketing strategies from concept through execution and total corporate brand awareness at tradeshows, corporate events and company sponsored gatherings. The position is also responsible for managing large budgets, contractor relationships, and metrics to gauge event and project success.
Function and responsibilities

Works closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and Director, Activation (and Executive Leadership, as appropriate) in development of annual marketing plan in support of business objectives and growth plans. Adjusts plan as necessary in response to the changing market and competitive environment.

Leads site selection and logistics execution for events, including budgets of up to $1M per large-scale events. Negotiates and books space and utilities for product displays, events, hotels and manages booking process.

Arranges and attends site visit to assess suitability of allocated locations from a brand, access and property attribute standpoint.

Manages contract staff related to the planning and execution of the large corporate-sponsored/hosted events (Sirva University, WERC, Agent Convention, PSA PRO), as well as internal staff production on event-related deliverables.

Develops and maintains strong business relationships with resource and service providers, including; hotels, conference centers, caterers.

Negotiates measurable savings on hotel accommodations, catering, audio/visual equipment, transportation, entertainment and other supply services.

Oversees and coordinates internal events and communications.

Selects, implements and manages event-related technologies to support all event types (in-person and virtual events, webinars and roundtables).
Qualifications and preferred skills
Education/Certification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, or related education
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Minimum 10 year's event management marketing experience
Demonstrated strong project management skills/ability to routinely prioritize among major initiatives.
Demonstrated knowledge of event contract negotiation/strong negotiating skills
Detailed knowledge of the marketing process and in particular event marketing
Strong analytical skills
Ability to operate independently within an ambiguous environment and manage projects from inception through launch
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to operate as key member of cross-functional team and interface with Senior Management regarding communication strategy.
