Department Overview:
The Community Partnerships department is responsible for planning and executing fundraising events throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Through community and corporate-led events such as golf tournaments, galas, walks, DIY, and MDA Supported events, the team's overarching goal is to raise critical funds in a cost-effective manner. This is done by adhering to event best practices, operational efficiencies, and creative integration of volunteers into nearly every aspect of fundraising. The Community Partnerships department is part of the Development Partnerships structure that is responsible for relationship management to retain donors and fiscal management to ensure best practices are employed to keep margins (net revenue after expenses) for all summative fundraising activities above 85%.
Position Description:
The Specialist, Development is responsible for supporting the Puerto Rico fundraising team in its objectives of maintaining relationships with current sponsors and building relationships with new partnerships through prospecting, scheduling, and databasing/tracking ongoing communications and engagement. In addition to relationship support for the team this position will work closely on the operational side of fundraising events. This position supports revenue generation, pipeline development and Salesforce. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Salary Range:
This position's salary range is $50,000 - $53,000. Final offer amounts and levels are determined by multiple factors, including your experience, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Location:
Remote work with 20%+ local travel within Puerto Rico and overnight travel on occasion.
Candidate must reside in Puerto Rico.
What you'll do:
Build and maintain relationships with external thought leaders and stakeholders to understand their scheduling needs and create a trusted relationship with MDA.
Proactively triage requests for responses from members of the department.
Assist in preparation of materials, Power Point presentations, and reports for management and/or clients.
Monitor internal deadlines and timelines for multiple ongoing projects.
Monitor competitive activity and trends within the territory to keeps business unit knowledge current.
Coordinate requests to IT and procurement.
Maintain database of outreach and contacts in Salesforce.org.
Oversee operations for the team, client and/or program.
Collect and analyze data.
Ensure compliance with program regulations.
Work with the organization to meet organizational and/or Client need.
Plan and schedule activities, meetings, etc.
Monitor program budgets as directed.
Closely collaborate with internal team members/departments to ensure optimal and clear communication efforts.
Prepare memos and invoices and perform other clerical tasks.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
Bilingual - English/Spanish required.
Must reside within Puerto Rico.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Experience with a CRM software, Salesforce.org use preferred.
Must be able to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced organization.
Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work with both external and internal stakeholders.
Comfortable interacting with families/communities from diverse disability, cultural and economic backgrounds.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize assignments while working under pressure, as well as be able to take initiative, work independently, and be a team player.
Ability to understand the information and reports necessary to assisting in supporting the Business Units success in managing accounts and client/partner relations.
Hold a valid Driver's License.
