Job Description
Position Highlights:
Position: Clinical Pharmacist
Location: Elmhurst Hospital
Per Diem - Minimum of 1 - 8 hour shift per pay period - with additional shifts possible as needed for Dept. coverage
Hours: Primarily Day & Evening shifts with occasional overnight coverage possible - start times vary by shift and are 8 hours
What you will need:
Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association within six weeks of start date into position
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification or within 90 days of start date into position
General Summary:
Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, and the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication related problems through intervention with physicians. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication availability. Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities.
