Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position:

Support and implement the company's legal and regulatory requirements required for contracting and subcontracting activities.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Review terms and conditions from receipt through acceptance (or no bid) and generate flow downs for functional action.
  • Engage with customers to understand regulatory flow downs.
  • Responsible to document compliance elements for government contracting (FAR/DFARS) and export control (ITAR/EAR) into ERP and engineering systems.
  • Conduct and document trade classification determinations (including HTS/Schedule B).
  • Lead the provision of end use data, declarations, and related compliance certifications to suppliers.
  • Prepare and submit export licenses.
  • Write and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct audits and institute corrective actions to strengthen the company’s compliance program.
  • Perform hardware shipment reviews and effect exit filings for exports.
  • Address inquiries from regulatory authorities.
  • Investigate and assist with disclosure of potential non-compliance through development and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Institute best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Actively engage across the organization to support Lean Transformation, deploying Lean Tools to improve employee safety, processes, and decrease cost.
  • Develop and implement compliance system processes throughout the value stream from supplier through design/manufacturing and to the customer.
  • Generate content and deliver training on legal/regulatory requirements and internal compliance procedures.

 

Salary Range - $90,000-$105,000 depending on experience

Qualifications:

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 4+ years of experience in regulatory compliance with a focus on contracting and trade compliance.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills uses rigorous logic and methods to solve problems producing effective solutions to problem statements.
  • Excellent time management skills: concentrating effort on priorities and overall planning, awareness, and response to what is due now, short, and long term.
  • Strong computing skills: i.e., ERP, Customer/Supplier and Regulatory Portals, PowerPoint, Excel, and technical researching.
  • Ability to initiate and complete multiple concurrent projects.
  • High level of business acumen: Understands policies, practices, technology, trends, and information and how those affect the business.
