Your Role:
At Baxter, the Product Security Compliance Lead will be a key player on the Baxter Global Product Security (BGPS) team to help set the standards and develop the process for Baxter's product security program. This person is expected to become the subject matter expert on US and OUS product cybersecurity standards, ensure Baxter evolves its product cybersecurity process appropriately to ensure compliance, and train security engineering & other colleagues to be able to successfully execute to program expectations. He/she will work with a variety of stakeholders to be able to understand their needs and develop, communicate project status to a variety of stakeholders, and have ownership of helping to ensure compliance to the program.

The position is accountable for leading and driving the product security programs to drive a state-of-the-art program but consider how to enable speed and innovation from the product development teams. This role will be responsible for training colleagues so a passion for the subject matter and ability to support them through their learning journey is a must.

To be successful, this person will craft the future of Baxter products by ensuring that our product security program keeps pace to a rapidly evolving landscape of regulations and customer expectations. This is increasingly important as security requirements become encoded into purchasing requirements and contracts. This role will require a great deal of flexibility (e.g., projects changing weekly, external dependencies, etc.) and hard work - where one is highly present in a virtual environment with some requirements to be on-site as needed for industry events and BGPS team meetings.We are seeking a collaborative, high-energy, and agile individual who has an in-depth knowledge of medical device security.

Your Team:
This role sits within Enterprise IT Security, Global Product Security and reports into the Director, Global Product Security Risk and Compliance. Internal interaction will primarily be with Division Product Security Engineers, Segment Program Leaders, R&D, BGPS teammates, IT, and external medical device security professionals and vendors.

What You'll Be Doing:
Ability to translate mentorship and standards documents into process and procedures that keep Baxter's product security program state of the art.
Evaluate and measure compliance to Baxter's product security standards and report metrics.
Support training and development of the product teams that must execute on the process, templates, work instructions and other materials generated.
Plan projects, communicate key project milestones and status regularly.
Lead a variety of cross-functional stakeholders and ensure that changes are adoptable across functions.
Driving knowledge, awareness, and adoption of these security processes and be a visible Global Product Security team member that product teams can approach to find assistance, answers and process feedback appropriately for continuous program improvement.
Architect for the ability to evolve program KPIs for compliance and work with other BGPS Team Architects on requirements for security platforms and solutions.
Drive synergies to Enterprise security efforts and standards so that spend is efficient and tools/platforms are consolidated.
Participate in external industry security conferences, panels, and working groups to help bring industry intelligence back to Baxter, and further Baxter's industry engagement.
Aligning with our commercial certification program team to drive synergies into the product security process.
