Job Description
As a Patient Transport Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring compassionate, safe and efficient transfers between facilities for adult behavioral health patients. You will be part of the Illinois Patient Transfer, or IPT team supporting hospitals, patients and families across the state.
This role is based in Springfield with hours scheduled at your convenience. Multiple shifts available.
Job Duties:
- Supervise patients during transportation
- Provide proper de-escalation and aggression prevention techniques as required
- Assist facility staff with escorting both the patient and belongings to and from the vehicle
- Maintain current State of Illinois drivers license
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Present and promote a positive company image
