Job Description
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for project development and execution, managing growth and cost reduction capital projects across ARPNA locations from conception to completion, with direct responsibility for productivity, timing, and budget. Additionally, this role leads a team of Program Managers focused on Manufacturing Program Management, encompassing safety, injection molding machinery, blow molding machinery and tooling, and downstream conveying and packaging systems directly related to the manufacturing of rigid plasticcontainers.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Project Management and Support:
Manage and support new machine installations, footprint activities, and infrastructure initiatives.
Communicate and resolve technical, timing, and budgetary issues related to projects as they arise.
Publish regular project status reports and monthly project spending reports.
Support engineering-related inquiries from plants.

Collaboration and Execution:
Work closely with plant and operations leaders to successfully execute projects throughout ARPNA.
Collaborate with Product Development, Supply Chain, Operations, Operations Engineering, and Commercial Finance to develop and implement manufacturing solutions.
Lead discussions with vendors and contractors to ensure project timing, cost, and performance deliverables are met.

Technical Oversight:
Ensure engineering design standards and best practices are followed for capital projects, such as piping and materials standards, energy instrumentation, and SCADA hardware.
Work with SMEs to evaluate downstream packaging capabilities for container handling.
Analyze and determine capabilities and limitations of new, proposed, or existing equipment.
Work with vendors and SMEs to develop and launch innovative technologies that improve manufacturing processes.

Capital Project Development:
Develop capital costs (BOMs), timing, and risks for production strategies for evaluation.
Collaborate with the Capital Procurement Team to quote and purchase equipment and machinery.

Vendor Management:
Ensure vendors adhere to ARPNA safety standards and deliver on performance and behavioral expectations.
Hold vendors accountable for delivering and performing to all Amcor performance and behavioral standards.

Safety and Compliance:
Make certain that safety is the highest priority and is considered for all activities.
Cultivate an environment of safety, high performance, and ethical and legal compliance.

Team Leadership:
Manage a team of direct reports, responsible for employee selection, development, mentoring, and performance management.
Responsible for overall talent management and employee engagement, addressing employee relations issues effectively.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Discipline
Minimum 7-10 years of experience within the PET industry either in a Project Management, Plant Engineering or Maintenance Engineering leadership role
Experience managing complex projects with budgets more than $ 5 million
