The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Regional Day Care Licensing Administrator. Under administrative direction, this position provides oversight to Day Care Licensing Team Supervisors within an assigned geographic region. The position administers and coordinates regional day care licensing programs and assesses the effectiveness of day care licensing activities within licensing offices.

Job Responsibilities- Serves as Regional Day Care Licensing Administrator
- Administers and coordinates regional day care licensing programs
- Assesses the effectiveness of day care licensing activities within licensing offices
- Provides technical program interpretation and consultation to field staff
- Consults with supervisors and directs preparation of licensing enforcement
- Communicates and interacts with child protection staff and approves protection plans issued to licensed day care homes and centers
- Develops system and reviews appropriate files and statistics regarding programs and staff activities
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
- Requires a master’s degree in social work or a related human services field from a recognized college or university
- Requires three (3) years of administrative experience in child welfare, child welfare investigations, or licensing with an MSW or four (4) years of administrative experience in child welfare, child welfare investigations, or licensing with a master’s degree in a related human services field
- 3 years of professional experience conducting day care or child welfare licensing services
- 3 years of experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization.
- 3 years of management experience in a professional business or public agency.
- 3 years of professional experience evaluating program and personnel performance.
