Job Objective:
The ARC Bookkeeper Clerk is responsible for processing transactions into the Shelby
Systems accounting software and include but not limited to: receipting entries, accounts payable
(Check processing), journal entries, CounterPoint POS reports & daily sales reconciliations and bank
reconciliations.
Essential Functions:

1. Perform full charge bookkeeping.
2. Monitors compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Salvation Army
Accounting processes and procedures.
3. Applies principles of accounting to post journal entries, analyze financial information and prepare
financial reports for ARC.
4. Code, Review and post Accounts Payable invoices.
5. File check copies and related documents according to established procedures.
6. Obtain W-9 forms as needed.
7. Prepare Rags Sales & Vehicle Sales Report for submission to ARCC
8. Assist Internal Auditor with audit preparations as needed.
9. Handle Auto Donations process.
10. Prepare invoices through Shelby AR for Internal (SA Unit) and external vouchers billing, collection
and reconciliation.
11. Work with Sr. Accountant and Director of Business to ensure timely month end & year end
closing, Submit requested info in timely manner.
12. Prepare list of eligible vendors for ARC Command for 1099 processing at year end.
13. Match store deposit to Daily Sales and credit card postings & process CP Daily Reconciliations
14. Identify incoming wire transfers and post in AR regularly.
15. Preparation of Weekly gratuities.
16. Maintain files on open AR and communicate with Sr. Accountant on weekly basis.
17. Must be able to meet standard work hours in place, currently 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday -
Friday. Occasional overtime in workday evenings or Saturdays may be required.
18. Must be willing to express support of the mission statement of The Salvation Army and the Vision
Statement of The Adult Rehabilitation Centers Command.
