Location

 

Rosemont, IL- Hybrid position with some telecommuting flexibility, but requirement to physically be in Rosemont, IL office occasionally/as needed.

 

What Youll Do

  • Present quantitative results clearly and concisely and display a capability to discuss statistical and quantitative concepts coherently. 10%
  • Develop and document model monitoring plan, monitor statistical model performance. 10%
  • Perform various ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior management. 10%
  • Develop Python predictive models for the purposes of risk ratings, CECL, and capital stress testing. This includes but not limited to writing of Python code, the training / fitting of the model parameters, and working with model validation team. 25%
  • Assist in data collection, extraction, scrubbing, validity and sanity checks, transformation, and validation. 25%
  • Responsible for full documentation of the model development process, testing performed, any and all modeling assumptions, limitations, and relevant control and governance processes surrounding the model. 10%
  • Ensure that the model development process is followed end-to-end and completion of development and documentation. 10%

 

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Economics, or related field with background in statistics is a prerequisite and 1 year of relevant experience in model design.
  • 1 year of experience with SAS, Python, and SOL.
  • 1 year of experience with credit risk management methodologies and techniques.
  • 1 year of experience using mathematical modeling to solve business problems in predicting customer's credit defaults, losses for commercial or retail financial products such as C&I, CRE, retails, and CRE Construction.
  • 1 year of experience with credit risk evaluation, including qualitative and quantitative approaches, linear/logistic regressions, Xgboost, machine learning, statistical sampling, predictive modeling,...
