Eaton’s Distributed IT business within the Electrical Sector is hiring a Distributed IT Marketing Director in their Woodridge, Illinois location. Relocation will be offered and the position includes 25% travel.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview:

Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Director of Marketing for our Distributed IT Division (D-IT). This position will be based in our Woodridge, IL location.

Reporting to the Sr. Vice President/General Manager (D-IT), you will be responsible for providing overall strategic direction and leadership for the D-IT channel marketing, brand strategy and overall marketing strategy (total annual revenue of $800M+). You will partner across the business ensuring sales and marketing strategies are key drivers to the delivery of the organization’s strategic plan, and the success of the division.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Build and develop talent on the channel marketing team within the Division

+ Guide Product Line Management team to successfully execute on key strategic marketing initiatives by:

+ Influencing the GPL for regional marketing alignment and performance

+ Partnering with engineering to execute the product roadmap

+ Collaborating with operations, sales, and services to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations

+ Developing a team of product and marketing managers responsible for product definition, pricing, and promotions to achieve Eaton’s sales goals.

+ Co-lead new product introduction (NPI) roadmap and execution with Director of Product Management.

+ Lead collaboration between the product lifecycle team and the NAS organization to translate customer activity to product line output.

+ Collaborate with business leadership to develop a sales growth and marketing strategy for existing markets and development into new markets

+ Focus on increasing margins by balancing objectives of growth and profitability through effective channel marketing and pricing program strategies.

+ Maximize ROI through effective deployment of the marketing budget across channel, end user, trade show, and marcom programs including implementation of key performance metrics to define success.

+ Identify inorganic growth opportunities and adjacent markets for acquisition or partnership and cultivate relationships with identified targets.

+ Champion sales management and agency base collaboration, gathering VOC and NPS data to ensure effective partnership.

Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience:

+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in channel sales, marketing or related position in IT hardware and/or software

+ Minimum of 5 years of direct people leadership experience

+ Strong executive level communication capabilities

+ Proven ability to execute business strategies to achieve measurable outcomes

+ Experience with strategic planning, profit planning, and road mapping.

+ Experience with price realization and channel programs impacting net revenue.

+ Experience leading channel marketing direct and indirect teams.

+ Experience with electronic tools such as Power BI, Salesfore.com, SAP, CPQ.

+ Ability to travel 25%

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Understanding and experience within the IT Distribution, Solution Reseller, Power Value-added Reseller and eCommerce channels.

+ Previous experience in made to stock business.

Education:

+ An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required.

+ An advanced degree is preferred.

Compensation:

+ Eaton recognizes this role as a critical position within the corporation and will create a compelling package consisting of a base salary, employee incentive compensation, including long term incentive and complete benefits.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $195000.03 – $286000.04 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
