Job Description:

We’re looking for a Manager, Global Enterprise & Employee Communications to support the development and execution of communications strategies that advance enterprise storytelling priorities and inspire the McDonald’s System to action. This will be a critical role reporting to the Director, Global Enterprise & Employee Communications.

Responsibilities:

+ Enterprise Narrative: Support the advancement of the enterprise transformation narrative. The narrative serves as a north star for enterprise storytelling and a resource for leaders across the organization.

+ Ongoing Enterprise Storytelling: Partner with cross-functional teams to execute a three-year strategy that advances the enterprise narrative with System audiences (suppliers, franchisees and employees).

+ Cultivate trusted partnerships with business leaders and their teams, while advising on communications strategies and driving alignment and action against short and long-term priorities.

+ Identify, train and deploy leadership, SME and local market voices across System channels to advance the narrative.

+ Milestone Announcements: Develop integrated communications strategies and creation of materials for enterprise communications milestone announcements, including communications plans, leader messages, talking points and Q&A.

Leadership Communications

+ CEO & Chairman: Support development of the strategic positioning of the Chairman & CEO voice to advance the enterprise narrative internally and externally. As part of this, support development of content for System facing and external engagements (e.g. Annual report letter, earnings scripts, Annual General Meeting remarks).

+ Enterprise Leadership (ELG): Support efforts to communicate our near-term and long-term growth drivers to enterprise leadership.

Qualifications:

+ BA/BS degree required

+ Prior corporate communications experience – both in strategy development and in execution

+ Outstanding writing and editing skills, with an eye to messaging for a range of internal and external communication channels and audience types

+ Excellent verbal communications skills

+ Experience advising and working with senior executives

+ Experience supporting financial communication needs such as earnings

+ Ability to navigate, orchestrate, and work through complex issues with a strategic, tactical, and fresh perspective

+ Proven ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and support multiple high priority work streams and at times, with ambiguous undefined circumstances

+ Self-starter with strong sense of initiative and focused on results

+ Effective collaborator who will work cross functionally across teams and geographies/ time-zones.
