Role Summary/Purpose:

The VP, MFT Platform Leader is responsible for suite of products and technical stewardship of multiple software development projects or programs. This experienced candidate possesses the skills to develop new feature, product enhancement, take prompt decisions, lead a team of developers, manage deadlines and other technical problems. The MFT Platform Leader must have a balanced mix of technical and business skills and often works & collaborate with client, partners, third party vendors & supplier teams to providing technical solutions.

The VP, MFT Platform Leader needs significant people and process skills, with ability to communicate complex ideas and issues in simple terms to project teams, external clients, and often senior management. They also need to deeply understand the business processes in order to create a cohesive vision of the products and services.

Organization Overview

Enterprise integration Services team plays pivotal role in connecting different Systems and applications within an organization. This team specializes in designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions that enhance business functionality. EIS Astra is the Enterprise Managed File Transfer Service which provides Synchrony business systems secure, automated file transmissions with internal teams, external partners, clients and suppliers.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Responsible to Lead and develop solutions that meet SYF business requirements to improve efficiency, timeliness, accuracy and availability of information for planning and decision making

+ Collaborate with internal technical resources and third party vendors to provide new integration solution, develop new product features & enhancements.

+ Provide Project execution oversight, implement governance & oversight ongoing support of change and new partner data transfer setup

+ Work with internal and external customers with project implementation and planning

+ Manage and coordinate build, platform and run teams implementing governess across processes

+ Evaluate, assess and implement process, policies and procedures for daily operations, security, encryption technologies, and disaster recovery of MFT architecture and design.

+ Work with team members to design, architect and implement MFT (B2Bi, Connect Direct Unity, Control Center & Director) infrastructure for high availability and resiliency across geographic locations

+ Architect, plan and integrate MFT platform & enhancements into the systems

+ Provide daily operational support for MFT related activities including transaction monitoring, creation and maintenance of translation maps and jobs streams, supporting trading partner relationships

+ Provide support during weekend maintenance activities and act as an escalation support point during US business hours to offshore managed services support team as required

+ Create, assess, update and maintain documentation pertaining to our MFT process

+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 9 years of experience in Information Technology or, in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 11 years of experience in Information Technology

+ Minimum of 9 years of experience working with Managed File Transfer project coordination or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator 5.2.x, IBM/Sterling File Gateway, IBM Connect Direct, and/or Axway B2Bi 5.x expertise.

+ Minimum of 9 years of experience years with Linux with shell scripting and/or development using Java, C and/or Perl programming.

+ Minimum of 9 years of experience and proficiency with RDBMS concepts including SQL and ad-hoc report generation.

Desired Characteristics:

+ XML, DTD, XPATH and other XML entities

+ Microsoft SQL database knowledge and skills, SQL admin and query tools. Experience with file system management and EDI document management. Ability to read and understand XML schemes

+ Experience with EDI translation, B2Bi, eBridge, or other self-hosted EDI translator. Strong understanding of business process mapping and workflow. Familiarity with other EDI translators (Mercator) is a plus.

+ Familiarity with IBM ITX, MQ Series, or other messaging queuing technologies

+ Experience supporting corporate implementations, where customer service is centric.

+ Solid communication skills, and must be highly motivated and demonstrate high level of initiative.

+ Must be a self-starter, ability to quickly learn, adapt, shows initiative and thinks outside the box.

Grade/Level: 12

The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 – 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

+ You must be 18 years or older

+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
