Overview

The Care Delivery Business Analyst provides analytic support for the Care Delivery team-with specific emphasis on the Virtual Care Delivery & value-based contracting components. This role is pivotal in enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiency through comprehensive data analysis and business intelligence solutions. The analyst is responsible for aggregating, interpreting, and presenting data to identify trends and inform analytics efforts. By creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations, the analyst provides actionable insights to the Director of Care Quality & Innovation and other Care Delivery leaders.

Additionally, the Care Delivery Business Analyst conducts competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and drive process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance patient experiences, and reduce costs. This role also involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including operations leaders, clinical staff, IT, growth, and finance, to support Care Delivery and align efforts across departments. The analyst participates in project management for key initiatives, providing regular updates and ensuring successful project completion.

Responsibilities

- Data Analysis & Reporting:

Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes, practice metrics, and overall care delivery performance.

o Use statistical methods to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for analytical efforts.

o Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Support decision-making through data-driven insights

o Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Care Quality & Innovation and other leadership team members.

o Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for monitoring in-clinic and virtual practice efficiency and effectiveness.

- Business Intelligence & Value-Based Contracting Evaluation:

Develop business intelligence solutions to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

o Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to design and implement BI tools.

o Ensure data integrity and consistency across various BI platforms.

Conduct competitive and market analysis.

o Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in monitoring virtual healthcare and physical therapy.

o Analyze competitor activities and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats to the business.

Establish, optimize, and monitor value-based care (VBC) reporting suite for emerging VBC opportunities.

o Design comprehensive VBC reports to track key performance indicators, patient outcomes, revenue, and cost savings.

o Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure VBC initiatives align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

- Process Improvement:

Identify areas for process improvement within the virtual practice and broader care delivery team.

o Work with team members to streamline workflows, enhance patient experience, and reduce costs.

o Develop recommendations for process changes and support implementation efforts.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented process changes.

o Collect feedback from stakeholders and patients to assess the impact of changes.

o Adjust strategies and tactics as necessary based on feedback and performance metrics.

- Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support virtual practice.

o Work closely with clinical staff, IT, marketing, and finance teams to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.

o Act as a liaison between the care delivery team and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of efforts.

Assist in project management for key initiatives.

o Participate in project planning, execution, and evaluation to ensure timely and successful completion.

o Provide regular updates and communication to project stakeholders.

- Training and Support:

Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and data analysis techniques.

o Develop training materials and conduct workshops or training sessions for team members.

o Offer ongoing support to ensure effective use of BI solutions and data insights.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, health services research, epidemiology, data science, data analytics).

- Experience as an analyst or researcher in musculoskeletal healthcare delivery or a related field.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

- Knowledge of business intelligence/data visualization techniques and software (e.g., Tableau, R Shiny) to communicate research findings effectively.

- Proficiency with MS Office suite for project management organization.
