Summary:

This individual will be a member of a team responsible for providing sales operations support to various portions of the sales organization globally, supporting the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) & Clinical Next-Gen Sequencing Division (CSD) organizations. These activities include reporting, analytics, program tracking, performance dashboards, account level business reviews, and other sales ops related functions, as needed. This role is aligned to a Senior Sales Operations Leader who supports the GSD/CSD Division within LSG. While this role will primarily work to support a specific group within the organization, they may be asked to support other functions as needed based on business requirements and workload. This person will work cross-functionally with: Marketing, Finance, Sales Operations/Pricing, Compensation, IT/CRM and multiple Business Units. The role will engage directly with Sales to drive strategic account planning and provide recommendations for decision making, and will present to business leaders within Thermo Fisher Scientific. Responsibilities:

+ Provide standard revenue and performance reporting/analysis, business reviews, build reports/sales tools, maintain systems infrastructure, and ad hoc analytics

+ Collaborate with Senior Sales Ops Leader, Sales VPs and GSD/CSD account owners to identify and drive GSD/CSD selling opportunities at specific accounts/territories globally

+ Partner across LSG divisions to gain complete customer analytics and business plan

+ Prepare executive-level quarterly and monthly business reviews and present to internal and external customers

+ Perform ad-hoc data analysis for business units around customer, products and vendor dynamics

+ Identify, validate, and implement opportunities for sales performance improvements

+ Assist with maintaining Cognos/EDW and Power BI revenue reporting and provide training to sales team as needed.

+ Assist with driving behavioral changes with the sales force to improve selling results and overall efficiency

+ Drive internal improvements and efficiencies within the Sales Operations team

Skills / Requirements:

+ Knowledge of data analytics and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Excel, Salesforce, and SQL database querying

+ Exposure to using Generative AI

+ Strong understanding of analyzing sales and business data, synthesizing large volumes of data into meaningful and concise reports and actionable findings

+ Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and partner with Pricing, Operations, Business Analytics, Marketing, Finance, and Commercial teams

+ Detail oriented and highly organized to balance multiple projects simultaneously in a multifaceted and fast-paced business environment

+ Ability to drive projects and activities to successful conclusions

+ Ability to work independently, multi-task and respond to requests in timely manner

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

+ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field requiring extensive analytical skills.

+ 3 to 5-year experience in Life Sciences preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $93,800.00-$140,675.00.
