This role is categorized as remote. This means the successful candidate may be based anywhere in the United States and is not expected to report to a GM worksite unless directed by their manager.

The Role

The individual Dealer Auditor reviews the administration of General Motors policies and procedures as provided in the Dealer Sales and Service Agreement. This review may include dealership practices relative to sales incentive claims and dealer objective programs. These claims must comply with specific rules and policies.

What You’ll Do

The Dealer Auditor completes the audit onsite at the dealership location and electronic audits from their home office. Specific responsibilities include:

+ Determining the compliance of these claims with the rules and policies

+ Constructing a concise, accurate and consistent audit report

+ Presenting the audit findings to the Dealer, their personnel and GM field personnel

+ Presenting best practices and acts as trusted advisor to the dealer and GM SSM/CCA

Relations with the Dealer, their personnel and GM field personnel must be cordial and viewed as fair and consistent with professional auditing standards. Periodically the Auditor will be expected to direct a staff of peers when large audits are encountered. This all must be carried out in a professional, courteous manner creating the least amount of disruption and confrontation.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) ??

+ A Bachelor’s Degree

+ The ability to travel in the United States and protectorates by air or vehicle approximately 25 weeks a year

+ 3+years general audit/sales experience

+ Ability to work independently and unsupervised while dealing with inconsistency, adversity, and change

+ High-level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others

+ Strong knowledge of auditing standards, principles, and vehicle repair processes

+ Understanding of dealership operations, finance, regulatory requirements and business acumen

+ Detailed knowledge of Dealership operations and GM Policies and Procedures

+ A questioning, creative, inquisitive attitude

+ In depth familiarity with Windows equipped laptop operations including scanning, remote printer operation, data manipulation and data transfer through the internet

+ Strong computer skills in MS Excel including Vlookup and Pivot Tables

+ Well-developed oral and written communication skills

+ Listening ability and verbal presentation along with written expression in the English language is a requirement in presenting audit results to Dealers and Management

+ A strict focus on integrity based on solid ethics and values

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) ?

+ Wholesale field experience as a District Sales Manager, District Service Manager, Field Warranty Manager, or Warranty Support Center

+ Previous Retail Dealer Fixed Operation experience

? Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

+ The salary range for this role is $83,800-$133,900. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

+ Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
