Cloud Data Center Lead

Department of Technology Innovation

(DTI)

Number of Positions: 1

(Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval)

Starting Salary: $107,712

As a Cloud/Data Center Lead, your primary responsibility will be to oversee a team of Infrastructure Administrators and Cloud Engineers. You will provide guidance and direction to the team, set goals, and ensure operational results are achieved. Managing the data center infrastructure will be a key aspect of your role, including analyzing equipment layout, performing capacity planning, and maintaining up-to-date documentation. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide superior assistance and service to our internal customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

+ Manages and directs the work of Infrastructure Administrators and Cloud Engineers

+ Acts as a key bridge to DevOps and continuous integration/deployment goals for the future

+ Analyzes and determines the appropriate layout for all equipment in the data center

+ Creates and keeps documentation current and performs capacity planning to ensure the facility meets current requirements

+ Sets goals and objectives for team members for the achievement of operational results

+ Completes performance appraisals for subordinate staff, administers disciplinary functions, and approves staff time off requests

+ Assists in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.

+ Plans, organizes and controls resources, procedures, and protocols to bring about beneficial changes and/or added value to application support

+ Assists in developing strategies around exceptional cloud/data center delivery; including strategies for enterprise storage and backup solutions

+ Provides superior assistance and service to all internal and external customers

+ Defines the scope of development projects, advising on scope changes and quality assurance aspects of the project

+ Manages and coordinates support of on-premise data center infrastructure, including server hardware, networking, and storage systems.

+ Manages and coordinates maintenance of data center facility infrastructure, including power distribution systems, emergency power systems, and data center cooling systems.

1869 W. Pershing Rd.

Days: Monday – Friday

Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm (Flexible)

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree, plus four (4) years of work experience in data/cloud management, or an equivalent combination or education, training, and experience

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

· Four (4) years of experience in Cloud/Data management

· Experience working with DevOps and continuous integration/deployment.

· Experience supervising Cloud Engineers

· Experience managing on-premise data center infrastructure.

· Experience managing data center
