Job Summary:

The Global Installation Manager role is responsible for the strategic and tactical elements of Avnet Integrated’s global installation and implementation services. Avnet is looking for an independent problem solver who understands the intricacies of delivering technology deployment projects leveraging both internal and external resources. The Global Installation Manager will be the face of the Avnet brand and is critical to the unparalleled service we strive to provide at Avnet.

The right candidate must be a go getter with an entrepreneurial mindset who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves and continuing to improve the customer experience. At Avnet Integrated, our focus is not only world class design, configuration, and build of technology solutions but also the installation and support of physical hardware throughout its lifecycle.

Principal Responsibilities:

+ Is responsible and accountable for overseeing all related to project management, system installation, and commissioning of resources for installation work. Provides technical support, expertise, leadership, and accountability for installation projects in assigned in a variety geographic areas and technology platforms.

+ Builds and maintains an effective installation organization committed to customer and employee satisfaction and profitable growth.

+ Qualifies, contracts, and maintains relationships with all 3rd party service providers including the development of performance scorecards and dashboards.

+ Supervises the performance of field installation resources and responds to escalated issues in the field.

+ Works with business development, service, and engineering teams for sales-to-ops and install-to-service turnovers.

+ Responsible for the system roadmap of installation delivery toolsets.

+ Maintains the P&L for all installation related services.

Job Level Specifications:

+ Ability to design, implement and drive process improvements, while flexing to an evolving and changing environment

+ Technical aptitude and understanding of the technical service industry preferred

+ High level understanding international of rules, regulations, and customs processes

+ Must be able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines

+ Strong, planning and reporting skills

+ Possess excellent verbal, written, and follow-up skills

+ Strong analytical and decision-making abilities

Work Experience:

+ Typically 8+ years including 3+ years of management experience

Education and Certification(s):

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

+ Proven track record of implementing and realizing results from transformation and/or strategic initiatives enterprise-wide and globally. Strong ability to influence senior executives and connect with teams to deliver change/results. Deep analytical skills coupled with strong interpersonal/influencing capabilities. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
