About the Job:

Precision Planting is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Precision Planting Technician. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including working in the shop, testing software issues, and operating machinery to test issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for precision agriculture.

Responsibilities:

+ Machine Maintenance

+ Perform assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks on Precision Planting equipment.

+ Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and implement appropriate solutions.

+ Testing Software Issues

+ Test software issues on Precision Planting equipment locally.

+ Utilize troubleshooting techniques to diagnose software-related problems and document findings.

+ Provide timely feedback to the development team regarding software performance and potential improvements.

+ Operation of Machinery for Issue Testing

+ Operate machinery to simulate field conditions and test software issues.

+ Monitor equipment performance and collect data to identify and replicate issues.

+ Work closely with the engineering team to develop testing protocols and ensure accurate results.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair, preferably in an agricultural setting.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and familiarity with diagnostic tools.

+ Ability to operate machinery safely and effectively.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Technical certification or relevant coursework.
