This position within Portfolio Strategy & Execution Team is part of the commercial organization at Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine. This role will lead a newly formed team of Oncology Area Business Specialists that are focused on optimizing hematology operational strategy and readiness for execution within Community accounts by educating and training accounts to maximize delivery of our products inclusive of practice economics and efficiency, payer landscape, and patient assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a newly formed team of field-based Oncology Area Business Specialists and be accountable for the management, development, and training of the Oncology Area Business Specialists.
  • Build a high-performing, motivated, and engaged team to deliver upon this new capability within Oncology while also ensuring consistency in approach across all geographies.
  • Strategically develop capabilities and training to help facilitate sales growth specific to the community accounts across the geographies supported by the ABS team
  • Assess needs per geography and develop strategic plans and training that will build the ABSs’ skills to meet these needs.
  • Connect with key external customers to gain insights and shape go-to-market plans deliver against business objectives
  • Partner across the other Oncology Field teams (i.e. KAMs, Sales RBDs and DMs, FRMs, and OCEs and their leaders) in a compliant manner across all applicable aspects of portfolio promotion, pull-through, and reimbursement
  • Coach Oncology ABSs to work with their field partners to assess sales opportunities that are hindered by reimbursement, account efficiencies and processes, or cost issues in order to expand the sales of the Hematology products in a manner commensurate with company policy and sales direction, while utilizing tools such as professional education and marketing programs.
  • Assist in providing solutions to key decision makers at community parent accounts and outlets.
  • Coach the ABS team to serve as resources to our customers regarding payer policies; reimbursement regulations and processes such as eligibility and benefit verification, pre-authorization, billing, coding, claims, and appeals / grievances; practice management, as well as Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Required

  • The qualified candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biologic / biotech, or medical device sales industries is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of people management experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of specialty sales experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate others to success
  • Excellent business acumen, leadership skills, and knowledge of site of care operations and reimbursement required.
  • A valid driver’s license issued in one of the fifty (50) United States and willingness to travel as needed or required, at least 50%; which may include overnight/weekend travel.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in sales management
  • A working knowledge of oncology is preferred.

The base pay range for this position is $174,000 to $250,700. The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. This position is eligible for a company car through the Company’s FLEET program. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
