Acentra seeks a Community Engagement Associate (Hybrid in Illinois) to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Community Engagement Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships between healthcare facilities and the community. This role involves coordinating outreach programs, managing community health initiatives, and ensuring that the community’s needs and concerns are addressed in the healthcare organization’s planning and services.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and stakeholders.

+ Develop and implement community engagement strategies to strengthen our partnerships and outreach efforts.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute events and initiatives that promote health and wellness.

+ Conduct research on community needs and preferences to inform the development of targeted programs and resources.

+ Coordinate and execute community events, workshops, and presentations.

+ Support the development and dissemination of marketing materials to increase community awareness and engagement.

+ Actively engage with community members through various channels, including social media platforms, email, and in-person interactions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience:

+ * This role is Hybrid within the State of Illinois, where you would work part of the time in the Field and part of the time from home. *

+ * This role is contingent upon being awarded a contract. Start dates and final offers are contingent upon the contract award and final contract start dates. *

+ * This role will require Travel, including reliable transportation. *

+ * If you will be driving for this role (vs. taking another mode of transportation (e.g., the L), you will be required to have a clean, unrestricted driver’s license for Travel within Illinois. *

+ * As approved, you will be reimbursed for Mileage or Travel expenses for this role. *

+ * The primary COVID-19 vaccination is required as you will work with beneficiaries in person. *

+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, communications, or social sciences).

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and interact with diverse populations.

+ Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.

+ Proficient in using technology and social media platforms for community engagement purposes.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and follow-through.

+ Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for community events and activities.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

+ Previous experience in community engagement, outreach, or related field.

+ Knowledge of healthcare systems and community resources.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $74,800 – $100,000

“Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant’s placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.”
