The QTS Senior Corporate Security Manager will provide support to Security Managers as you improve platform level strategy, policy, and procedures. This position will also oversee managing vendors providing guard force services and maintaining close partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure working environment. This leader will be capable of influencing decision makers using effective verbal and written presentation skills.

Under general supervision of the Director, Corporate Security, the Senior Manager, Corporate Security is responsible for developing and implementing policies to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, and/or customers in QTS facilities, and for securing the property and assets owned by the organization.

RES PONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

+ Oversees the administration of Vendor Contracts

+ Keeps abreast with all security related information, directives, and events.

+ Manages Global Budget & Contract Analysis

+ Coordinates Audit and Compliance Requirements

+ Creates strategies and specific objectives and develops budgets, policies, and procedures to support the infrastructure.

+ Provides documentation oversight.

+ Conducts both internal and external investigations of compliance matters.

+ Maintains data integrity and performs appropriate analysis.

+ Oversees new vendor management.

+ Hosts vendor QBRs

+ Manages various security vendors to ensure compliance with QTS’s standards.

+ Performs additional duties as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

+ Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent work experience

+ 7+ years overseeing security operations and personnel.

+ 5+ years Project Management experience

+ 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office tools

+ 5+ years of experience in security patrolling and reporting

+ 5+ years of experience in working with security vendors and contractors.

+ 5+ years of experience leading professional meetings

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certifications preferred.

+ 7+ years of experience leading and managing direct reports.

+ 5+ years of experience in strategic planning and management.

+ 5+ years of experience in access control and video surveillance software applications (eg. ProWatch and Genetec)

+ 3+ years of experience working with workflow ticketing and extraction of performance metrics.

+ 4+ years of experience writing detailed reports.

+ 5+ years of experience with excellent verbal and written communications skills in a professional work setting.

+ 4+ years of overseeing security sub-contractors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction, door repair, fencing, and access controls.

+ Must be able to travel between locations.

+ 3+ years of experience teaching others the proper security processes and methods.

+ Detailed and data driven experiences that exemplify QTS Leadership Principle

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

+ Proficient with computer skills

+ Proficient in Access Control Systems and related software

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; for the purpose of public interaction and report writing. Have excellent customer service skills.

+ Ability to handle typical emergency and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.

+ Ability to walk, stand or sit for at least 8 hours.

+ Strong relationship building skills.

+ Consultative advisory skills

+ Strong collaboration and influencing skills.

+ Strong persuasion and negotiation skills

+ Able to mitigate risk while simultaneously showing business owners how security practices can contribute competitive advantages and organizational success.
