Job Summary :

This role supports the Trane Technologies Life Sciences Equipment Portfolio. TRANE Technologies designs, integrates, manufactures, markets, and distributes specialized medical and laboratory equipment to clinical and life science customers globally, as well as provides after-market service and support.

Account Executives are responsible for the achievement of annual financial goals and profitable revenue growth as assigned within defined geographic/segment specific quotas.

Responsibilities include prospecting, establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with new and existing customers to increase equipment sales of Helmer and FARRAR products. Account Executives manage direct and indirect customers and cultivate growth in a defined territory/customer segment supporting Regional Business Managers and channel partners (opportunities, quotes, customer inquiries) in addition to lead generation. As needed, covers open Regional Business Managers territories collaborating and elevating engagement and mindshare of the TRANE Life Sciences Portfolio with our key strategic partners and channel representatives. Eligible for a Sales Incentive Compensation Plan.

Where is the work:

This position is remote within a geography in the Eastern Standard Time zone with travel of up to 60-70%.

What you will do:

+ Promotes TRANE Technologies values as demonstrated in personal productivity and quality of work, management of internal/external relationships, actively seeking out and participating in Continuous Improvement practices (A3 projects for sales process effectiveness), and willingness to engage and support team initiatives.

+ Achievement of Sales Goals – Account Executives will be trained on the equipment portfolio and assists customers, distributors, and new account prospects with the buying process. Key activities include lead generation, prospecting, qualification, active cultivation of reliable funnel, and close of sales deals driving profitable growth through persuasively selling the value of TRANE Technologies life science solutions.

+ Account Management – Follow standardized sales processes, maintain accurate and complete territory database in CRM system; generate sales opportunities through in-bound lead qualification and outbound prospecting activities, issue and follow-up on quotes, manage customer contacts in CRM, deliver excellent customer experience.

+ New Account Acquisition – Prospect for new business opportunities in defined segment/territory and expand penetration within current accounts, developing market segments (i.e. Academic research, biorepositories, and biotech) leveraging channel partner relationships and trust to accelerate growth and mutual value delivery.

+ Gather Market Intelligence – Proactive communication and participation in sales meetings – articulating market trends and competitive intelligence to marketing and sales Center of Excellence. Frequent development and lead of channel lunch and learns, onsite customer technology/innovation events, and participation supporting booth presence at conference/ tradeshows for new account acquisition.

+ Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

What you will bring:

Relative Work Experience: Minimum 3+ yrs laboratory equipment sales or customer service/support experience within bioscience, life science research, biotech, pharma related segment recommended.

Education: BS degree in Biology, Life Science, Sales and marketing, operational excellence, or related field preferred

Certifications / Licenses: Must hold valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance.

Computer Systems / Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with customer relationship management systems (CRM) preferred.

+ Ability to engage multiple stakeholders, influencers, and key decision makers.

+ Demonstrated ability to generate and qualify leads, facilitate customer conversations with business level insights to establish value and create demand, close new business and grow existing account relationships.

+ Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Compensation:

Total Target Compensation: $100,000 – $160,000 inclusive of base plus sales and service incentive.

Total Target Cash represents a mix of fixed base salary plus payment from sales commissions. Sales commissions plans are uncapped plans.
