The Sr. Director, North America Service for Leica Biosystems is responsible for leading the North America service organization, including consistent and superior delivery of end-to-end service to our customer base, from our Customer Call Center through Dispatch to our Field Service Engineering teams and National Product Support teams. This leader is also responsible for developing our portfolio of service offerings that will drive higher customer intimacy and customer retention while also driving growth in service revenue. Our leader will need to do this by building a strong culture of Danaher Business System (DBS), and creating excitement within the organization to motivate and retain service associates and create strong service/sales/applications team partnerships.

Additionally, our North America Service leader will partner with our global Business Units to bring new solutions to the market that offer superior quality and user experience.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Create, communicate, and execute on a holistic Service strategy and vision for North America which focuses the organization on driving consistent, superior service experiences that meet committed turnaround times and key operational metrics.

+ Drive incremental revenue growth within the service business through increased contract capture rates coupled with value-added service programs.

+ Develop a 3+ year roadmap for our services organization that will allow us to contribute to accelerated growth, stronger commercial partnerships with our sales and applications organizations, and improved customer experiences.

+ Build a positive service culture through delivering strong leadership and communication to drive employee engagement.

+ Drive service excellence and cost containment through use of the DBS tools, Holistic View of Service, and strong daily management.

+ Partner with the Danaher Diagnostic Platform to bring new solutions such as AI and virtual reality into our LBS service environment.

+ Utilize dynamic resource allocation to consistently review headcount needs across the organization and shift resources to align with business needs.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor’s degree (preferably within business or sciences).

+ 20+ years of progressive service experience, with over 10 years of leadership experience in a similar industry.

+ Previous experience leading a large and complex customer focused organization in a matrixed organization.

+ Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complicated issues and boil down them down to the key recommendations to executive leadership.

+ Both strategic and tactical capabilities. Ability to be hands on and help execution at detailed level when organizational targets are missed.

+ Outstanding interpersonal skills and executive presence with the ability to work cross-functionally. The capability to build relationships and establish significant credibility, trust, and support within all levels of the organization (i.e. Customers, peers, subordinates and senior management) as well as developing strong followership within the commercial and service organization.

Travel Requirements:

+ This position requires 70%-80% travel on average. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.

The annual salary range for this role is $230,000-$275,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
