Senior SCM Analyst - Quantitative Analytics

About the Team

The Assessment Delivery Operations team is responsible for ensuring College Board assessments happen reliably for millions of students every year. The 60-person team includes Content Management and Publications, Test Administration & Delivery, Supply Chain Management and Logistics. This team is at the forefront of bringing the Digital SAT suite to fruition for millions of students across the globe. The team also manages CLEP and ACCUPLACER.

About the Opportunity

You will work closely with the AP program to support the transition of AP's Paper Supply Chain to a new model - supporting activities that were previously performed by contractors. Responsibilities include documentation of requirements, generation of publication volume forecasts and establishment of processes and tools to track publications being manufactured.

In this role, you will:

Plan and Monitor Inventories (30% of your time)

  • Work with AP Program, SSD, Finance and historical SC data to develop subject and accommodation-specific test-taker counts (i.e - a demand plan)

  • Based on expected demand, organize and create detailed supply plans that informs production volume requirements

  • Support existing S&OP process, including socializing models and volumes with internal stakeholders

  • Develop and monitor reports to ensure inventories are sufficient to meet demand

Develop and validate analytical models across the Supply Chain (30% of your time)

  • Work with vendors to build and/or validate manpower and capacity models, for activities including outbound fulfillment, inbound receiving, kitting and scanning

  • Build and maintain annual demand-build forecasting models to inform required inventory positions

  • Develop cost models to inform decisions around impact of potential programmatic or logistics updates

Develop and document new processes (20% of your time)

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to map out existing and future processes.

  • Use process mapping tools such as flow charts and RACI diagrams to communicate process flows, stakeholder roles and responsibilities

  • Facilitate meetings that drive to consensus on optimal future state for changing processes

  • Document outcomes and follow up through execution required to stand up new processes

Collaborate Across Teams: (20% of your time)

  • Work very closely with the AP Program and functional teams to understand requirements

  • Work with Program, Finance and Publications teams to establish seasonal demand forecasts, that are then used as the basis for the Supply Plan

  • Work with vendors to ensure flawless execution of a well-planned season

About You

You have:

  • BA/BS Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experiences required

  • Minimum 3-5 years professional experience in operations planning or similarly analytically rigorous role

  • Strong operations data analysis and reporting experience required

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access

  • Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Authorization to work for any employer in the USA

Ideally, you would also have:

  • Experience with SCM / Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) tools, including knowledge of Bills of Material and Inventory Management concepts

  • Experience with the operational aspects of fulfillment and logistics

  • Experience in a high-volume data and transaction intensive processing operation

  • Experience developing / working with complex item and/or BoM structure

  • Experience translating demand into a detailed supply plan

  • Knowledge of agile tools and concepts, and experience working in an agile environment

  • Experience with JIRA and Smartsheets
