Position Summary:The Forklift Cycle Counter performs a variety of duties associated with counting, storing, and moving of materials and assemblies to and from various areas including shipping, receiving, warehouses, staging areas, and machines in assembly departments.This includes operating computers, scanners, scales, fork trucks and other material moving equipment as well as picking and put away of materials. This role requires attention to detail and ability to operate computer making accurate transactions to maintain inventory accuracy and up-to-date records of raw, WIP and finished goods.

Essential Job Duties:

Accountable for accurate and timely transactions of material both physically and systematically.
Perform cycle counts on all materials defined by the cycle count program, achieving daily cycle count goals.
Perform material movement and transaction audits as needed to ensure inventory accuracy.
Load and unload material from the warehouse and staging areas to perform cycle counts using forklift, dollies, or other material moving equipment.
Inventory all items by weigh count or hand count and store in specified areas.
Use an investigative approach to locate, recover, or remove material discrepancies to accurately reconcile inventories.
Adhere to all material movement guidelines and report any deviations from the established process.
Performgeneral safety inspection of fork truck at time of use.
Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective material and refer unusual conditions to supervisor.
Maintain tools and equipment in proper manner.
Must be knowledgeable in and practice all safety procedures.
Must be able to operate specific equipment and become licensed to operate a fork truck.Must assist in other areas of the department when material movement or scale duties are caught up.
Housekeeping responsibilities:Clean up oil spills, assist operators by replacing oil and water barrels, and maintain materials in a neat and orderly manner.Keep outside yard clean with clear fire lanes.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Valid forklift license required.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and complete necessary production forms.Ability to speak effectively with fellow employees and/or customers.

Mathematical Skills:Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
