Job Scope:
The Facilities Manager provides mechanical and electrical oversight of systems used in manufacturing, research, development and commercial operations. This position provides support and guidance to facility personnel, engineers, and scientists to ensure that facility and equipment capacity is available, and that facility and equipment performance does not constrain utilization. Additionally, proactively leads facilities and equipment improvement and upgrades projects as required by internal customer groups.

Key duties and responsibilities:
Management:
Lead and/or provide guidance for the planning and execution of facilities and equipment projects.
Provide support for the Facilities Team.
Manage activities leading to the successful execution of assigned projects. Control project scope, schedule and budget relative to the established baseline. Coordinate contractors and subcontractors required to complete complex facility modifications, additions, and remodel work in an optimal and cost effective manner.
Develop and review specifications, bids, and drawings for proposals encompassing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire / life safety, interior and exterior construction.
Communicate and collaborate across functional and leadership teams to inform project status and risks, elevate issues, present recommendations, and implement modifications or project plans.
Create and maintain a productive environment to enable the delivery of various facility services. Empower and oversee the team to carry out operational responsibilities and work directly with team to carry out objectives.
