The Accounts Payable Group Lead at a glance
The Group Lead, Accounts Payable (AP) is accountable for the overall leadership and direction of the AP shared services team responsible for on time payments of over $14B to 10k+ partners for the company's largest zone. This role will provide leadership and direct responsibility for the AP strategy, daily operations, continuous improvement plans, reporting and overall alignment of the goals and performance across PTP/AP.

Operational Excellence:

Oversees the daily execution of all AP operations including the people, process, and technology across the North America Zone in accordance with the performance metrics and targets defined for each process within the AP sub towers.

Sets strategy, provides direction and is responsible for the daily execution of the AP operations team (BPO off-shore Invoice Management, Cash and Banking, and Compliance teams).

Establishes department goals and monitors key metrics, analysis, and reporting.

Responsible for reviewing departmental results and directing teams towards developing corrective action plans as necessary. Drives and implements changes with cross functional teams.

Direct oversight of AP policies/governance and their alignment with the daily operations and strategic direction of the AP operations team.

Continuous Improvement:

Responsible for identifying continuous improvement opportunities and developing improvement and strategic plans for areas of responsibilities.

Strategically reviews AP reports and key metrics with an emphasis on trend analysis to uncover strengths and weaknesses of AP efforts within the various operational layers.

Develops and manages effective accounts payable strategies, aiming to drive the departments performance, KPIs, SLAs, and overall PTP processes and performance to best in class levels.

Create and deliver a continuous Improvement roadmap and action plans required to move various aspects of the end-to-end process from the current state to the future vision.

Identifies improvements for process, systems, workflow, and procedures. Drives and implements changes with cross functional teams.

I have experience leading hybrid/off-shore teams

I have strong continuous improvement mindset with demonstrable results

I have strong business acumen, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills balanced with strong customer service skills

I have the ability to influence cross functional team members
