Crain's City Brands is seeking a creative and collaborative solutions strategist to partner with the sales teams to identify new products and programs and to uncover new revenue opportunities with existing clients and new prospects to drive growth - especially in content-based solutions for our advertisers.

This individual will be an idea generator, a strategic thinker and a proven storyteller with a positive mindset and a track record for growing business. The right person will be able to make connections between a partner's objectives - from brand awareness to thought leadership to lead generation and beyond - and our City Brands' audience of business decision makers, developing strategies that go beyond a traditional templated rate card product and delve into the "art of what's possible."

This position reports to the Senior Director of Content Solutions and will work with the custom, sales, marketing, digital and research teams at Crain's Chicago Business, Crain's Cleveland Business, Crain's Detroit Business, Crain's Grand Rapids Business and Crain's New York Business. This is a hybrid position with 3 days required in one of our City Brand offices: Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Grand Rapids or New York City.

Responsibilities:
Serve as a "solutions architect," partnering with sales, digital and custom teams to create and pitch fully integrated programs for our partners.
Develop a deep understanding of the Crain audience and serve as lead storyteller for our partners and prospects, weaving the "Why Crain?" into all components of a campaign proposal.
Uncover new business opportunities in our markets - including opportunities that extend across multiple markets.
Collaborate closely with Sales Director on revenue strategies and solution-building in assigned market(s).
Lead campaign recaps, positioning partners for renewal and growth.
Constantly bring new ideas to the table.

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a professional sales, marketing or communications role
Creativity
Presentation experience/skills
Flawless communication skills
Portfolio with work samples demonstrating ideation and storytelling
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Sales or related field

Preferences:
Experience working in B to B publishing or media

This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Pay Transparency Disclosure:
The estimated base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000.

The final salary offering will take into accounta wide range of specific and relevant factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap. In addition to base salary, Crain also offers competitive benefits including retirement plan savings contributions and bonus opportunities based on individual and company performance.
