Description:
Electrical & Computer Engineering's Visiting Research Associate will contribute to the design and delivery of research projects and collaborate with other researchers to develop, execute, and interpret research projects. Performs complex laboratory, data collection, and interpretation techniques.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare data analysis: combinatorial optimization, non-convex optimization, and computational complexity bounds
Perform analysis of data-aware guarantees produced by mathematical optimization techniques and learning algorithms
Guide a team of highly motivated students
Aide in proposal and grant writing
Aide in effectively disseminating the research results of the team in top-tier scientific venues
Provide professional expertise and keep current with developments in a relevant field (i.e., Electrical and Computer Engineering)
Other special projects and duties as assigned
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, mathematics or related field. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices, methods. Possesses and applies complex data analysis techniques- with specialization in Optimization, multiple objective linear and nonlinear programming, and a nonmonotone quasi-Newton algorithm for unconstrained multiple objective optimizations.
