Title: Pension Analyst (Part Time)
Job Type: Contract 12+ Months
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 10AM-3PM (Part Time)
Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr

Job Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Manager, Death and Disability, the Associate Pension Analyst is responsible for preparing basic benefit calculations and updating the member files when a death is reported. The Associate Pension Analyst is responsible for.

Job Description:
Assist in reviewing and resolving death backlog cases
Print and send out correspondences/applications as required.
Review death vendor reports and cross reference for accurate death information.
Assist in performing death searches
Due Diligence online research, follow-up calls, and/or re-sending letters
Terminate members in the system when a death is reported.
Conduct peer review of documentation and Eligibility and Control Reports.
Perform the beneficiary research and mail death benefit applications.
Audit all returned documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Communicate with members and beneficiaries to obtain required documentation.
Evaluate implications of legal documentation such as trusts, estates, and Powers of Attorney (POA) in the processing of benefits.
Adhere to plan provisions, policies, and procedures in workload management.
Assist department management and team on various projects as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and additional courses or seminars related to benefits administration.
Related experience preferred.
