Job Description
As the Marketing Data Scientist at Crescent Electric, you will guide the analytics approach to evaluating markets, primary and secondary research, identifying opportunities, determining ROI on marketing investments, evaluating and managing outside data sources, and monitoring competitors.In this role, you will draw on a variety of internal and external data sources and tools, including web analytics, digital attribution, channel analytics, trading performance, and customer analytics, to deliver an appropriate, holistic view of business and marketing performance and identify areas of potential performance improvement and growth opportunities.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Serve as point person for overarching industry trends documentation and analysis.
Implement and manage multichannel attribution modeling. Build a customer value model schema and hone it through ongoing testing.
Assist in the Marketing Cloud implementation, digital personalization, and targeting projects by mining analytics and customer data to hypothesize 'the next best conversations.
Provide performance and ROI data to marketing teams to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all campaigns, programs, and tactics, and inform future investment opportunities.
Visually display complex datasets, through various methods, to provide insightful and actionable intelligence to develop polished and streamlined presentations and reporting for Marketing Leadership, Executive Leadership, and Board.
Participate in the annual planning process to ensure measurable KPIs have been established and a reporting structure and timeline are in place.
Monitor our brand performance in paid search (PPC), organic search (SEO), Social Ads, and display with an emphasis on paid search to inform the ongoing strategy.
SKILLS:
Individuals must possess strong, analytic, and insight-generation skills.
Must also be well versed with comprehensive computer and coding software skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook products, SQL, R, Python, Google Analytics, and business objects) and have an aptitude for new software and systems.
Must have the ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines.
Must possess exemplary analytical and research skills. In addition, must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, be a self-starter, be detail-oriented, and have very strong communication skills (verbal and written).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
