The Opportunity:
Avantor, Batavia, IL is hiring! Do you enjoy the challenge of a fast-paced work environment? If so, apply now for our Packing Team Lead. The Packing Team Lead will Interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of warehouse operations and promote teamwork. Monitor workflow, ensuring work is accurate and consistent. Coach and resolve any issues that may arise. Participate in and lead team meetings. M-F, 7:00 am-3:30 pm, some OT required.

What we're looking for:
High School education or GED preferred.
Prior experience in a warehouse setting (1-3 years preferred.)
SAP experience is a plus.
MS Office Suite experience is strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bilingual is a plus.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure.
Strong decision-making and coaching skills.
Ability to adjust and enhance processes.

How you will thrive and create an impact:
Ensure schedules are followed and tasks are completed on time.
Perform material handler tasks and team lead duties throughout the day.
Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Team collaboration/Leading team meetings
Ensure that the workflow is accurate and consistent.
Led and support employees to resolve problems and provide coaching as needed.
Responsible for end-of-shift clean up and ensuring items are returned to their respective place.
Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
Perform other duties.

Must be able to use proper techniques to lift 75 pounds. The ability to follow directions with an emphasis on safety is essential.
Must handle stress caused by meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements.
Must be able to shift priorities quickly.
Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
Must have responsible work habits.
Must be familiar with warehouse systems.
Must be available to work any shift.
