Job Title:MaintenanceMechanic
Location:Kankakee, IL
Shift:3rd Shift
Pay:$30/hr + Shift Differential

Overview:This job includes making general repairs to plant facilities and productionequipment. To ensure the reliability of production equipment by performing preventive maintenance activities and using best practice techniques for repairs.

Job Duties:
Performs routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance work on office and plant equipment, machines, and building facilities.
Assist in maintaining plant security.
Maintain equipment and tools.
Dispose of waste materials, empty containers, and piece drums accordingly.
Calibrate equipment as needed/required.
Keep work areas clean.

Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read and write.
Mechanical and Electrical working knowledge.
Ability to read blueprints and sketches.
Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring, and general mechanics

Aptitudes:Must be familiar and thoroughly experienced in all facets of maintenance
Mechanical:Pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal), drives (gearbox, belt, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-electric, motors-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps, and dies.
Electrical:High voltage 460-volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage (120V power and control wiring), AC and DC systems. Computer-controlled systems.
Utilities:Piping (water, air, and steam) Boilers - understand Steam condensate system - tracing, coils, traps, and pumps. Air Compressor system - including filters, regulators, dryers, and lubricators. HVAC - air handling, blowers, dust collectors.
Buildingand Vehicle repairs:Lift trucks - electric EE rated, battery and hydraulics.

Drug Screen and background check are mandatory if you are offered this position.
