Requirements
Responsibilities
Build strong mentorship relationship with assigned student (mentees) to foster trust, communication, and motivation.(Leadership, Communication)
Identify potential barriers to student success, such as academic difficulties, financial issues, or personal challenges and work with the Retention Specialist to address these obstacles.(Critical Thinking, Teamwork, Communication)
Connect students with campus resources and services, such as tutoring, counseling, financial aid, and career counseling.(Critical Thinking, Communication)
Organize and facilitate group activities.(Leadership, Critical Thinking, Communication)
Promote retention initiatives, programs, and resources to increase mentees engagement, persistence, and success.(Critical Thinking, Communication)
Attend school events with mentees.(Leadership)
Other related duties as assigned such as attend family events, FYI, orientation, and school events
Qualifications
Junior or Senior
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience in an office setting preferred.
Must be a current student at University of St. Francis and be in good standing with the university.
Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university
Pay Rate Hourly
15.00
