We are currently looking for an Exhibit Sales Managerto join us in our mission to save lives and prevent injuries.

Position Highlights:
The Exhibit Sales Manager is responsible for the development and execution of all NSC Congress & Expo sales to meet or exceed assigned goals. Provide strategic support and leadership to grow exhibit space, and sponsorships and conduct all relevant functions related to the successful management of department sales. Work with a consultative approach with customers and other NSC departments including but not limited to publishing and development. Actively acquire, maintain, and manage accounts ensuring effective customer communications and account management with the primary focus on exhibit sales. Monitor activities of key competitors, providing market intelligence to the Sr. Director and appropriate NSC staff. Acts independently within guidelines established by the Sr. Director.
What You'll Do:
Primary responsibility is to develop, manage, and implement all selling activities related to Congress and Expo.
Develops and implements annual sales plan to achieve sales objectives focusing on exhibit sales and sponsorships through proactive management of current and potential account relationships.
Open new accounts, managing the account relationship, business opportunities, and customer's expectations.
Achieves annually established sales goals among existing clients and new clients.
Achieves established goal of developing new prospects and converting them to clients.
Connects with customers to understand their goals and needs.
Work in conjunction with Marketing and Business Development to understand all market trends, determine future areas of growth and downsizing, and interact with marketing staff on an ongoing basis.
Manages customer satisfaction with the delivery of services through the creation of sales presentations/proposals that meet the needs and expectations of the client.
Partner with our Marketing, Operations, and Site Venue Team to develop unique Sponsorship opportunities and categories.
Communicates client feedback to Sr. Director and appropriate Expo staff, to improve customer satisfaction, including opportunities for additional business, i.e. co-location of other events with Congress & Expo.
Monitors activities of key competitors, providing market intelligence to Sr. Director, and appropriate NSC staff.
Works closely with Sr. Director to develop Association Partnerships for new growth.
Participates in sales and marketing activities at local and national professional conferences. Attend competitive events.
Coordinates and supports the Sr. Director for the administration and training of sales staff.
Develops and executes sales, and coordinates with marketing and other program activities.
Demonstrates excellent critical thinking skills in determining priorities within established parameters with pricing and contract negotiation.
Uses own judgment and related work experience in executing responsibilities.
Exercises creativity for new ideas and problem-solving.
Acts independently within guidelines established by Sr. Director.
Interpersonal Relationships:
Internal: Works effectively with management and NSC staff.
External: Works with over 800 current Congress Exhibitors & 10,000 prospects. Develops relationships with Associations, Customers, and potential new customersWe're Looking for Someone with:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated ability to progress the sales process using consultative skills.
Revenue-focused and hunter approach to sales conversion.
Strong business acumen and ability to influence business decisions
Team player with strong communication skills, committed to being part of an inclusive and safe environment.
Understand the importance of working across functions, including operations, marketing, finance, and brand leadership, to deliver exceptional customer value.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations in all sales activities and promote ethical business practices within and across teams.
Must have a team-oriented approach with a collaborative mindset towards sales.
Excellent communication skills with strong creative skills in presenting and socializing information.
