C5T is seeking an Air Mobility Operations and Planning Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a critical role in a research effort supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory and Air Mobility Command (AMC) transformation efforts. The Air Mobility Operations and Planning SME employs in-depth understanding of the operational planning process as applied to air mobility operations to provide executive-level assistance solving unusually complex problems in support of policy and process development, management, and/or organizational improvement. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives on using their deep domain expertise, expert communication, and teambuilding skills to ensure the success of their team in support of the client's goals. The successful candidate will ensure team efforts to develop and articulate innovative solutions to challenging research tasks are always informed by current understanding of DOD and USAF doctrine, concepts, and tactics. The successful candidate will work daily with diverse project stakeholders, including senior government civilian and military personnel, contractor personnel from other companies, and other C5T personnel.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide air mobility operations and Joint Planning Process experience and subject matter expertise to support team efforts to design and accomplish organizational improvements in the client space
  • Use air mobility operations and AMC staff experience, along with understanding of current doctrine, concepts, and initiatives to conduct and/or facilitate engagements with a variety of stakeholders, including senior government and military personnel.
  • Create and present reports and analyses of the research topics and activities to inform diverse stakeholder audiences

Qualifications:

Required:

  • In depth understanding of air mobility operations garnered through 10 or more years' experience planning and performing airlift, air refueling or global mobility support missions
  • In depth understanding of the Joint Planning Process (JPP) used in DoD
  • Ability to expertly engage in conceptual discussions regarding air mobility operations and planning processes with senior officers and civilian personnel
  • Ability to constructively integrate air mobility and planning operations and staff domain expertise into collaborative intervention design and development efforts of the team
  • In-depth understanding of Air Mobility Command Headquarters structure and processes
  • Expert communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to acquire a security clearance (Secret or higher)
  • Must be a US Citizen

Desired:

  • Understanding of the current AFFOR staff processes and functions at AMC
  • Intermediate or Senior developmental education graduate
  • HQ AMC/A3 staff experience
