About the Role:

As a CBRE Audit Associate, you’ll be responsible for understanding business processes, assessing small to medium-sized risks to business objectives, evaluating control effectiveness, and documenting audit projects.

This job is part of the Audit job function. They are responsible for the monitoring and review of financial processes and reporting for external auditors, regulatory authorities, etc.

What You’ll Do:

+ Conduct audits using an agile methodology to meet the needs of the company’s global businesses and service lines.

+ Perform substantive basic audit testing verifying the effectiveness of established processes and procedures. Verbally communicate and confirm audit findings identified through detailed testing.

+ Audit the accounting & statistical data of a department, division or location in order to verify accuracy and compliance with plans, policies, and procedures prescribed by management.

+ Conduct client interviews to understand and document processes and procedures.

+ Interpret policies and procedures and apply professional accounting and auditing fundamentals and standards to test and evaluate financial records and operational systems.

+ Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.

+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

+ Impact the quality of own work.

+ Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

+ Exchange straightforward information, asks questions, and check for understanding.

What You’ll Need:

+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. CPA, CA, CISA, or CIA certification preferred.

+ Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.

+ Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.

+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

+ Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

+ Intermediate math skills.

+ Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
