ABOUT THE ROLE:

This job is part of the Workplace & Occupancy Planning function. They are responsible for strategic and tactical planning for clients.

As a Sr. Occupancy Planner, you will provide space planning, data mining/analysis, reporting, and interpretation of space planning metrics to provide recommendations and proposed solutions for a client’s occupancy needs.

What You’ll Do:

- Review space requirements and provide conceptual plans and recommendations to stakeholders.

- Review and maintain occupancy data within the system of record.

- Build block or stack plans, charters, and move lists.

- Develop scenario space planning models (exit/maintain/grow).

- Prepare forecasts and evaluate space planning trends in general business conditions.

- Produce drawings and presentations for internal collaborators and client-facing meetings for review and feedback. Involve project management staff as appropriate for move and construction services.

- Collaborate with other team members to gain business intelligence, including move and relocation sequencing and execution.

- Coordinate and manage space walks for validation and update of occupancy metrics.

- Conducts interviews and discussions with client(s) to collect, coordinate and synthesize project requirements, functional, operational and cultural issues.

- Conduct evaluation and review of work area affected by real estate strategy to ensure that current location(s) and office availability at destination location(s) is reflected accurately.

- Attends client meetings; drafts meeting minutes and acquires approvals to proceed when required.

- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

- Develop and support standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

- Evaluates outcomes and implements procedures for improvement.

- Finds opportunities for improvements by and among the clients and/or companies.

- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key systems/processes in subject teams and day-to-day functions. May mentor and train team as needed.

- Other duties may be assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

- Proficiency with AutoCAD and CAFM/IWMS programs preferred.

- Strong Occupancy planning experience.

- Financial Analysis and Planning.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Interaction with client is huge in this role and looking for a candidate strong client relationship management experience.

- Interpersonal skills with a strong inquisitive mentality.

- Ability to review possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

- Have a broad knowledge of own job field and some knowledge of several job subject areas within the planning, strategy, facilities, and project management functions.

- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

- Proficiency with Excel including Pivot Tables and formula writing required.

Supervisory responsibilities

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. The role will coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Occupancy Planner position is $85,000.00 per year and the maximum salary for the Sr. Occupancy Planner position is $102,000.00 per year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
