Schedule: Monday – Friday 10:00 AM – 7:00PM *additional hours as needed Status: Full-time (Exempt) Compensation: Set at $50K Annually $300 Sign-On Bonus After The Completion of the 90-Day Probationary Period Summary/Objective: We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Distribution Warehouse Custodial Supervisor to oversee and manage the custodial team, ensuring that our warehouse facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in custodial tasks, and the ability to motivate a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Supervision and Leadership:

+ Team Management: Lead and supervise the custodial staff, ensuring efficient and effective completion of all cleaning tasks. This includes creating work schedules, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.

+ Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to custodial staff on proper cleaning techniques, use of equipment, and safety protocols. Ensure that all team members are knowledgeable about the latest cleaning procedures and standards.

+ Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations for custodial staff, offering constructive feedback and setting goals for improvement. Address performance issues promptly and professionally.

+ Motivation and Support: Foster a positive work environment by recognizing outstanding performance, addressing team concerns, and encouraging teamwork and mutual support among staff.

Hands-On Involvement:

+ Active Participation: Participate actively in daily cleaning tasks to set an example and ensure high standards are met. This includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom maintenance.

+ Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain custodial equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure washers. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and arrange for repairs when necessary.

+ Supply Management: Monitor and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies. Ensure that all necessary supplies are adequately stocked and reorder items as needed.

Facility Maintenance:

+ Inspection and Identification: Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to identify areas needing cleaning or maintenance. Document findings and prioritize tasks based on urgency and

+ impact on operations.

+ Maintenance Coordination: Address and resolve any maintenance issues promptly to prevent disruptions in warehouse operations. Coordinate with maintenance staff or external vendors for repairs and upkeep of facilities.

+ Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, incidents, and inspections. Use these records to improve processes and ensure compliance with standards.

Safety and Compliance:

+ Safety Enforcement: Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Implement safety protocols and ensure staff adherence.

+ Training: Train custodial staff on proper handling of hazardous materials, emergency procedures, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

+ Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies and spills, ensuring the safety of staff and maintaining a clean environment.

Team Coordination:

+ Scheduling: Develop and manage cleaning schedules to ensure all areas of the warehouse are cleaned regularly and thoroughly. Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate special events

+ or changing needs.

+ Task Assignment: Assign specific tasks and areas of responsibility to custodial staff. Ensure that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.

+ Collaboration: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and mutual support. Encourage open communication and address any conflicts promptly.

+ Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve high standards.

+ Hands-On Skills: Extensive hands-on experience with a variety of cleaning techniques and equipment.

+ Organization: Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

+ Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to clearly convey instructions and feedback to staff.

+ Maintenance Knowledge: Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair tasks. Ability to identify issues and coordinate repairs.

+ Physical Stamina: Physical ability to perform custodial duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position supervises both day and night shift crews. Work Environment: This job operates in both office and warehouse environments, with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions is expected. Physical Demands: The physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting/moving items over 50 pounds. The noise level is usually loud. Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels. Must be able to work in an environment that may include handling hazardous materials. Ability to operate custodial equipment safely and efficiently. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Specific days and hours will be specified. Travel: Travel between office and warehouse locations is required. Required Education and Experience:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational training in custodial or maintenance services is a plus.

+ At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a custodial or maintenance role.

+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in custodial or janitorial services, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
