Job Description

Purpose and Scope:

The Women’s Health Head of Sales will lead the US field-based sales team by developing and implementing strategies that maximize brand and patient value. This key leadership position will oversee, develop, and employ sales initiatives to achieve brand and organizational goals, and help elevate our performance-based culture and growth mindset across the sales organization.

?The successful candidate will be responsible for sales, sales strategy, expense budget, and talent development for 6 Area Sales Directors, 45 Sales Managers and 386 clinical sales specialists. This senior leader will be accountable for the implementation of all sales delivered marketing initiatives, and participate in other important brand activities, including contributing to annual brand planning, the Integrated Product Team (IPT), and providing customer and patient insights to help evolve brand strategy and tactics.

?The role will report to the Head of US Sales and have a dotted reporting line into the VEOZAH Commercial Head.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

+ Accountable for sales results and execution, sales strategy, expense budget, and talent development

+ Sets clear expectations and strategy to hold team accountable to deliver results.

+ Builds effective teams, grows others and develops winning culture.

+ Oversees and drives the application of effective and evolving selling skills and customer engagement capabilities, including adoption of Omnichannel insights.

+ Identifies and implements operational efficiencies while recommending strategies for continued revenue growth.

+ Expert understanding of market dynamics, regulatory influences, compliance constraints, market access, and managed care influences in diverse marketplaces.

+ Collaborates effectively with internal partners across the Integrated Product Team and enabling functions.

+ Delivers and implements innovative and compliant incentive plans that complement brand strategies and drive desired behavior and performance.

+ Leverages wide range of data to measure, monitor, assess, report and drive team productivity and results.

+ Establishes productive business relationships with National/Regional/Local OLs and Professional Associations

+ Co-creates and implements objectives for regional and national sales meetings/POAs.

+ Ensures full and complete compliance of all selling activities within the area of responsibility to the standards of all State and Federal regulations.

+ Demonstrate high ethical and performance standards with all business contacts.

Quantitative Dimensions

+ Ensure all sales initiatives are within the sales budget for the fiscal year.

+ Strategic vision and planning for future growth products and sales.

+ Maximize sales performance.

+ Partner with direct reports to ensure adequate coverage on right targeted customers across the nation.

+ Develop direct reports to ensure the right capability is maintained within the sales team.

Organizational Context

+ Reports to US Head of Sales with dotted line to VEOZAH Commercial Head

+ Direct reports are 6 Area Sales Directors (2 nd line leaders), with indirect responsibilities for Sales Managers and sales specialists.

+ Close collaboration with peers within US Sales, commercial operations, marketing, and executive leaders.

+ Ongoing engagement with Integrated Product Team and enabling functions.

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree required.

+ Minimum of 15 years commercial biopharmaceutical experience with multi-functional, commercial experience

+ Experience leading large customer facing teams.

+ Successful record of leading, attracting, developing, and retaining talent and building high performing teams

+ Track record of top performance and leadership

+ Motivation to lead, adaptability, learning agility and emotional intelligence.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Recent US launch experience

+ Copromote/external collaboration experience

+ Cross functional experience – e.g., Marketing, Payer, etc.

Compensation: $263,000 – 325,000 (NOTE: Final salary could be more or less, commensurate with experience)
